That's why we offer technical and career mentorships as a core part of the Ocademy student experience. As a student at Ocademy, you will be paired with a mentor who is chosen based on your career interests. Your mentor will guide and support you on your journey to success.

Please note that this benefit is only available for students who have taken a course with Ocademy. However, we also provide ad-hoc 1:1 sessions for anyone interested in learning and teaching AI.

Mentee Do's & Don'ts

Do:

  1. Actively contribute to defining the dynamics of the relationship.
  2. Dedicate time to the mentoring process and honor all agreed-upon appointments with your mentor.
  3. Make efficient use of your time; arrive at sessions prepared to delve into predetermined subjects.
  4. Address your mentor's feedback promptly, responding within 1-2 days.
  5. Foster transparency by openly discussing your challenges and weaknesses with your mentor.

Don't:

  1. Hold the mentor accountable if the guidance provided doesn't yield the desired results.
  2. Anticipate the mentor to possess all-encompassing knowledge.
  3. Undertake commitments that are beyond your capacity to fulfill.
  4. Abruptly cancel mentorship meetings or visits without sufficient notice.
